At Just Cats we work with you to develop a balanced nutritional diet for your cat.

What brand of food does your cat eat? Many times the old adage is true: You get what you pay for. Given the recent pet food scares, we have developed a list of recommended brands: California Natural, Eagle pack, Felidae, Innova, Wellness, Royal Canin, Science Diet, and Iams.

After lengthy testing and research, the American Association of Feline Practitioners has begun recommending canned food for cats. The water content dilutes toxins, so the kidneys don’t need to work as hard to eliminate them. Canned food may be easier on a cat’s digestive system and thus lessen regurgitation and vomiting. Also, weight control is an issue for many cats, and canned food has been shown to assist with weight loss.
