Sierra Bouchard, DVM returns to Just Cats Veterinary Clinic and to her Hometown

Just Cats Veterinary Clinic is pleased to announce the addition of Sierra Bouchard, DVM to our feline-focused medical team.

Sierra is a native of Saratoga Springs and interned in our clinic while attending Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. She knows our staff and many of our patients well and we’re thrilled to have her back. Sierra graduated from Cornell this past May and had many options open to her, but she chose Just Cats and we are so excited for her return.

“I originally started veterinary school with the goal of pursuing shelter medicine as a specialty. I always had a love for cats and at that time, I thought shelter medicine would be the route to help as many cats as possible. Around my second year at Cornell, I was serving on the board of the Feline Club, when one of our speakers offered to connect me with a feline specialty practice internship. I wasn’t quite sure what a feline-only practice would be like, but within the first week of my internship here at Just Cats, I fell in love!

I realized that the quality and amount of care and attention given to patients was far and above general dog and cat practices, so I knew I’d found my calling. I was so thrilled when Dr. Sikule offered me a permanent position. Not only am I able to pursue my dream job, but I am also able to come back to a team that I have already grown to love,” explains Sierra Bouchard, DVM.

Dr. Bouchard has a special interest in internal medicine, oncology, and surgery. During her free time, she enjoys hiking in the Adirondacks and modern dance. She currently has two cats, Maya and Bastian.

You can meet or schedule an appointment with Dr. Bouchard at either our Guilderland or Saratoga Springs locations.
